Glass is a selection of songs written by Kate Marrey during her development as a songwriter and musician; you can think of the album as a "coming-of-age" project. The minimalist instrumentation emphasises the raw emotion of a young woman trying to understand love, pain, anger, and joy.

Kate Marrey

A west coast child at heart, Kate Marrey was born on Salt Spring Island, BC, home to a large community of artists. Beginning piano lessons at age six, she always made sure music played a large role in both her personal and formal education. After graduating from the prestigious Gulf Islands School of Performing Arts, she went on to record her debut EP, Glass. She now lives in Ottawa. ... more
